The UBS Center for Economics in Society
The UBS Center for Economics in Society – in short the UBS Center – is an associated institute at the University of Zurich. It was established in 2012, thanks to a founding donation from UBS, which the bank made on the occasion of its 150th anniversary. The UBS Center has two main objectives. First of all, it finances all levels of world-class research in economics done at the Department of Economics at the University of Zurich. Second, the UBS Center supports a continuous dialog between academia, politics, and society, and with it the transfer of knowledge. With its activities, the UBS Center contributes in further strengthening Switzerland as a center for economics, education, and science.
